Adventures On Two Wheels

About Me

I started racing at the age of 14 in MTB Endurance Team Events such as the Jetblack 24h in the 6+6 format, before moving on to Everesting, Cyclocross, bikepacking & Gravel adventures.

I attempted an Everesting in 2015 under Volcano Riders name with support from brands such as Focus, Shimano, and local bike shop. This was an attempt at the first Everest of the Mauna Kea climb in Hawaii and I was lead on the attempt by my uncle and joined by my cousin. I have been coached by Jason English from 2015 with the aim of racing and focusing on Everesting.

Everesting is a challenge to repeat a hill (on a bike) any number of times until the elevation gain is equal to the iconic Mt Everest, 8,848m. After being on the bike for 20 hours, at a local hill, I reached the milestone.I achieved the youngest to Everest record in 2016 and held onto the record for over 12 months. More about: EVERESTING.

After finishing high school and beginning my university degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering I jumped back on the Mountain Bike in the 2021 COVID lockdown and re-discovered my love for the sport.

In 2022 I began racing for the local bike shop Salamander Cyles, and after around 12 months of training I placed 5th in the 2022 WEMBO Australasia Continental Champs and 1st in the U23 2022 AusCycling 24 hour Solo National Championships.

For 2023 I have been accepted to the Elite Athlete Education Network through NUSPORT at the University of Newcastle alongside my studies. In 2023 and onwards I aim to continue to move into Nationals level series and championship racing as well as the weekly group coffee rides, club races, and bike packing adventures.
